STUDIO SERVICES

We provide a range of services for non-members, such as private lessons for pottery, open studio hourly or daily rates, kiln firings, and materials access. We have a limited number of monthly memberships available for professional and highly skilled potters looking to expand their production. Please contact us to learn more about membership tiers. We also offer work opportunities for young or new artists who want to learn the inner workings of running a studio.

Our Studio Services & Equipment

Our fully-equipped studio includes:

  • Brent and Shimpo Whisper Wheels, as well as table-top Artista pottery wheels

NON-MEMBERS
We offer private lessons, open studio hourly or day rates, kiln firings, and materials access (such as tools, clay, dipping glazes, and more).


MEMBERS
Members have access to all studio equipment and materials, a personal locker space, and open studio hours 24/7. Members will also have priority to submit their work for juried events.

WORK OPPORTUNITIES
We offer a work exchange program for young or new artists who want to learn the inner workings of running a studio. We are also always looking for experienced potters to lead classes or work in the studio.


PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
Mercado Art Studio is a professional production studio with a retail shop of functional pieces for sale. We also offer wholesale pricing for large-scale projects and private commissions.

STUDIO CULTURE
Mercado Art Studio is a safe and respectful space for everyone, including women, BIPOC, and LBTQ. In exchange for access to the studio, all visitors agree to our policies and safety guidelines.
